Hospital de Niños 

de la Santísima Trinidad

Cordoba, Argentina

Team: Our Cystic Fibrosis (CF) center is based at the Santísima Trinidad Children's Hospital, a tertiary level pediatric hospital in the city of Córdoba, central region of Argentina.

People with CF have been cared for for 50 years. At first, pediatric gastroenterologists cared for children malnourished by CF; Later, when survival improved, patients began to be monitored by Pediatric Pulmonologists.

Hospital Infantil de Mexico

Mexico City, Mexico

Team: Prior to 2006, CF patient care was provided individually by each of the hospital services. From 2006 on, the CF clinic was integrated with the interdisciplinary work of pulmonology, nutrition, psychotherapy, psychology and social work one day a week in 3 clinics.

Team: Our cystic fibrosis center has been working with patients for 20 years. We are located within a University hospital. We have a multidisciplinary team of 2 pulmonologists, a respiratory therapist, nutritionist, social worker and nurse.

Team: Our hospital is a tertiary, high-complexity adult care facility for the management of respiratory diseases. We are a national transplant referral center, as well. We are a young and committed team eager to learn, adapt, and improve. Over the years, we have gained experience in managing complex CF patients.

Team: The Roberto del Rio Children's Hospital was born, along with the establishment of Pediatrics in Chile, as a governmental response to a severe measles epidemic in early 1900. Initiall, located on Matucana Street, it moved in 1939 to its current location on Av. Professor Zanartu.

Team: nurse and kinesiologist and physician. We have grown in number of professionals, also in experience and knowledge. We recently added a nutritionist after years of asking the hospital management. We do weekly patient meetings; it helps us to have clear plans and problems. Also team coordination meetings.

The CF patient care program at Hospital Garrahan began in 1995, with a small group of patients and healthcare professionals. Over the years, the demand increased, and new professionals from different specialties joined the team with dedication and commitment. This steady growth has led to being today a benchmark center in our country based on the number of patients and the quality of care provided. We have a transition program for adult care. The hospital performs several types of solid organ transplants, including pediatric lung transplants, the only such program in the country.

Hospital Luis Carlos Lagomaggiore

We are the first Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit in the Mendoza Province. We began in 2016, working together with the Pediatric CF Center (Hospital Humberto Notti). Our collaborative work started with scheduled hospitalizations and follow-up by the adult pulmonologist at the pediatric hospital.

Hospital Dr. Gustavo Fricke Viña Del Mar, Chile

Dr. Gustavo Fricke Hospital is a Referral Center for Cystic Fibrosis for both pediatric and adult patients. It summons an extensive area of ​​the north and central zone of Chile. It is the second center of Chile with the largest number of patients, between children and adults. It currently cares for 70 patients.
